Lincoln County Community Theater - American Nightmare/Greek Tragedy”

Lincoln County Community Theater will host The Playwright’s Series, with a new one-act play presented on three weekends in October at Sacred Grounds Coffee and Tea House in Ruidoso in NM. The Series is a showcase for original works by local playwrights. Opening the series is “Coffee Shop” by Mari Hill on Saturday, Oct. 14 @7PM. It is a dramedy about a coffee hop owner who entangles himself in his patron’s lives. On Saturday, Oct. 21 @7PM “Strange Things Are Afoot at the Circle K” by Robert Eyster, willing have its debut performance. It is a delightful comedic romp about late night gas stations
“American Nightmare/Greek Tragedy” by Kraig Bellows will be a matinee on Sunday, October. 29 @2PM. It is a modern retelling of Sophocles “Antigone", set in a contemporary U.S. and explores issues of democracy and war.
Performances are $10 and available at the door, cash or check. A $20 series ticket, for three shows, will be sold on Oct.14. For more info follow LCCT on Facebook or call Josie at 575-973-0275.
